About SoundTube Entertainment®
Who is SoundTube Entertainment?
SoundTube® utilizes the latest audio technology to produce quality speakers with exceptional sound. Our products are created through truly synergistic, cross-platform engineering to deliver lasting durability, industry-leading quality and refined aesthetics.
Welcome to SoundTube Entertainment, where we don't just create speakers — we craft audio solutions that transform spaces and elevate experiences. As the umbrella brand for our innovative commercial and residential offerings, SoundTube combines over 70 years of expertise, creativity, and a passion for sound delivery products that are truly Ingenious. By Design.
The Sound of Innovation™
Our story begins in 1955 with Bill Hecht, a pioneer in speaker design who set out to bring "theater sound for the home" by founding United Speaker Systems, Inc. His groundbreaking innovations, like the soft-dome tweeter, laid the foundation for decades of audio excellence.
Chris Combest (our current CEO) founded Induction Dynamics with one goal: to build the best residential loudspeakers on the market.
Chris, from Kansas City, joined forces with Bill and his son, Ken Hecht from Jacksonville, Florida, combining their expertise in OEM manufacturing and hi-fidelity driver design to create a powerhouse in audio innovation, forming MS Electronics.
MS Electronics acquired SoundTube Entertainment from its eccentric founder, David Weiner. Known for his bold marketing style and creative ideas, Weiner had already made waves with SoundTube's flagship pendant speakers — a product that redefined open-ceiling audio installations.
Phase Technology (PhaseTech) was brought into MS Electronics in 2006. Working together in 2008, Chris and Ken's engineering team developed SolidDrive — the invisible sound transducer that revolutionized audio integration by transforming surfaces like drywall, glass, and wood into high-fidelity sound sources.
Since then, SoundTube has grown into an industry leader in commercial audio while maintaining its fun spirit. We rebranded to make SoundTube the primary customer-facing name for all our commercial and residential offerings, unifying our solutions under one trusted brand while continuing to honor our legacy.

Key to all lines are sonic quality and ease of installation. “Average” and “generic” are not words one would use to describe SoundTube products.
At the Forefront of Dante-Enabled Audio Systems
Since 2011, SoundTube Entertainment has led the industry in end-to-end Dante-enabled audio systems for everyday applications. Our goal is simple: provide a cost-effective path to advanced audio networking without unnecessary complexity. SoundTube offers the world's broadest assortment of IP-enabled PoE speakers, along with a full range of Dante-enabled components. With hallmarks like easy programming (no specialized training required), affordability for applications such as restaurants and retail spaces, and centralized monitoring and control of all components, we make advanced audio accessible for everyone.
Designed and Engineered in the USA
Design and Manufacturing
With multiple design and manufacturing centers across the residential and commercial spheres, SoundTube’s Jacksonville, FL location occupies a special niche in today’s audio industry. As one of the few fully vertically-integrated speaker manufacturers in America producing drivers, crossovers, cabinets and systems. Unlike most brands, which rely on offshore manufacturers, every speaker and speaker system in the SoundTube catalog is designed, prototyped, and performance proven in Jacksonville before being produced in one of its factories.
The Team
When a company is brought into the MSE Audio family, it is not treated as a wholly owned subsidiary. Rather, it becomes part of a team, exercising a level of synergy not normally seen in multi-brand companies. For example, when Soundsphere was added, its speaker designers soon found themselves contributing to a re-design of two Rockustics rock speakers. Likewise, the Florida-based engineers at Phase Technology were heavily involved in the design of SoundTube’s IP-addressable systems, while Utah-based SoundTube’s industrial design expertise has played a role in recent PhaseTech and SolidDrive designs.
Likewise, the sales and customer service teams work together to promote multiple brands to both residential and commercial markets. This structure gives dealers access to a wide range of speaker options with a cohesive support plan.
What Makes Us Ingenious
Complimentary System Design Services
Whether you're working on a sprawling commercial venue or a cozy residential space, our engineers provide free system design services that often require fewer speakers to cover the same area — saving you time, money, and headaches.
Industry Standard Patented Technologies
SoundTube holds dozens of patents for speaker design and mounting technologies. Perhaps the most notable is the industry-standard soft dome tweeter. Our patented BroadBeam® dispersion technology ensures even sound coverage across any space without compromising clarity or quality. We've also developed integrator-friendly tools like our SpeedWing™ constant-tension mounting system and BroadBeam Ring™ technology to make installation faster, easier, and more reliable — saving you time on every project while ensuring long-term performance integrity.
Built for Integrators
From IP-enabled PoE speakers and weatherproof outdoor solutions to custom-made speakers and subwoofers, every product is designed with integrators in mind — because we know you've got enough on your plate already.
A Family Business with Big Ideas
SoundTube is still proudly family-run! Chris Combest leads as CEO alongside his son-in-law, Shannon Humphrey as President. Together, they've cultivated a company culture that blends family values with fun and creativity.
Whether it's brainstorming new product ideas or swapping installation stories over coffee, our team thrives on collaboration and a shared love of great sound — and great partnerships.
